Eugene Werlin,
Jr. co-founded WPW Management Corporation, the parent company
of WPW Realty Advisors, and has served as the Companys
President and Chief Executive Officer since 1976.
Gene developed his first convenience center
in 1973 and has been involved in the ownership, management,
leasing or sales of well over 100 properties containing in
excess of two million square feet of space. He has participated
in lease negotiations with national and regional companies
such as BBVA Compass, Compaq Computer, ACE Cash Express, Starbucks,
Chase Bank, Southland Corporation, Memorial Hermann Health
Care, Great Clips, HEB Grocery, 99¢ Only, Subway, AT&T,
Jo-Ann Fabrics, Brinker International, Cort Furniture and
Verizon Wireless. In the 1980s he managed and leased
properties for many of Houstons largest banks and other
lending institutions, including the Resolution Trust Corporation
(RTC) of the Gulf Coast Consolidated Office.
Gene is a graduate of the University
of Texas, at Austin, with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural
Studies. He has been a licensed real estate Broker in the
State of Texas for nearly 40 years. Currently, he is a member
of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Gene
serves or has previously served on the boards of the Houston
Museum of Natural Science, The Kinkaid School and the Childrens
Assessment Center.
